Culinary Club

Culinary Club Feb 9th, 2010

  Our first meeting of 2010 is scheduled for this Tuesday at 3:00pm in Room 239.  Bring your sweet tooth and your creative energy...we will be creating some yummy Valentine's Treats!  See you then!

Tuesday Core Culinary Group

Core Culinary Club members should plan to meet Tuesday at 3pm in Room 239.  We will be discussing plans for our upcoming catering events - Challenge Day Volunteer Appreciation on Thursday, Nov. 5th and the DCVI Academic Awards Banquet on Thursdady, Nov. 12th.

In addition, we will begin preparing desserts for these two events.  See you there!

October 14th - Perfecting Pizza

This week we will be making pizza dough from scratch and experimenting with topping combinations.  Bring a clean container or ziploc bag (larger size, but not huge) to take home some dough.

Culinary Club Wednesday October 7th

Attention all Culinary Club Members: Plan to stay after school on Wednesday. Miss Jewson will lead us in the preparation of three flavours of biscuits.  Please bring a container to take home some samples!

Culinary Club Cancelled Sept. 30

Unfortunately, we are going to have to cancel Culinary this week due to illness (remember last week's discussion about safe food preparation and handling).  Stay tuned for next week's plans!

Week Two

Thanks to everyone who came out to the kitchens last week.  It was great to have so many of you there.  This week, Ms. Jewson is going to be leading you through a recipe.  See you Wednesday at 3:00pm in Room 239!

Meeting - Jan. 14th

The Culinary Club (both Junior and Senior) will have a brief meeting this Wednesday after school.  Everyone should attend as we are deciding on a meeting day and it is important that committed members and those in the Drama production discuss conflicts with other commitments.

Senior Club Meeting

The Seniors will meet Wednesday after school this week.  We will begin our casseroles orders, as well as bake a treat for our group.  Hope you all can make it!

Future Meetings - Both Junior and Senior

The Junior Club will meeting next Thursday after school instead of Wednesday because of the PD Day on October 1st.  We will be making a treat for ourselves, as well as a baked good for Mr. Farmer's Homeroom class as their prize for winning the contest. 

The Seniors will be meeting the following Wednesday when we will also make a treat for ourselves.

Spirit Week Meeting

Both Junior and Senior Club members should meet on Monday after school in the Family Studies room to prepare treats and activities for Spirit Week.
