It's over!
The cold reality hit when we arrived in Detroit on Sunday evening. To adapt an often used phrase "We're not in California anymore Toto!".

After breakfast on the rooftop of the hotel, the bus took everyone to Cal State Fullarton for a 2 hour workshop with Prof. Dickey. The Prof worked with the band re-enforcing the strategies of Mr. Sumstad and teaching a few new strategies that will improve the band. The rehersal room was awesome. It had amazing acoustics and was a pleasure to play in. Prof Dickey treated the ban to a tour of the the new special purpose music performance centre. Everyone got to stand on stage and try the acoustics for themselves.
The rest of the day was spent at Venice Beach. There are a variety of "interesting" sites to behold. A large number of the band members decided to get tatoos (before any parent panics, they are only temporary). A number of brave soles went swimming in the Pacific Ocean and some "white" bodies were exposed to the California sun.
The evening was spent at the hotel in Anaheim. Some students enjoyed the hotel pool. A group went to a nearby shopping center. The shopping centre was like a street of shops and, of course, it's all outside (including the escalators!).
Tomorrow is Disneyland! After spending the day in the park (which we will walk to from the hotel), there is a special "sound stage" experience for the band members.
Lots of pictures are being taken. You'll have to wait to see them.
