I was just wondering how you can find an angle? When you only know the sides of the triangle. It gives 2-3 sides and not one angle.

Mr. Shaddick: The example that we did in class today was a lot like what you are describing. If you know the lengths of three sides, you can use cosine law with the angle that you are trying to find out. If you only know the lengths of two sides, you can't do much unless there is some information that you are missing (e.g. an angle, right triangle, etc.). I hope this helps.
