I am unsure of how to answer 6:D when the text asks to evaluate
500(1.08)^5
I would appreciate it if you could explain this question.

Mr. Shaddick: You can definitely use your calculator for that question. Remember the order of operations (evaluate the exponent before multiplying by 500) .... we'll discuss how to use your calculator tomorrow, if you have problems.
