Solve simple equations using a balance strategy.

Now try the same thing with negative values.

After you are comfortable with solving equations using the balance, try solving these equations.

Exams on the Horizon

Although the weather forecast will make it difficult to see the horizon over the next few days ... exams are almost here!  All of my classes are in review mode and can expect a bunch of questions each night to help prepare for the final assessment.

MPM 1D
- EQAO Day 2 is Wednesday, January 23rd in class
- Final Exam is Tuesday, January 29th @ 9am

MFM 2P
- Reference Sheet preparation will occur in class on Wednesday & Thursday
- Final Exam is Friday, January 25th @ 9am

MHF 4U
- Final Exam is Monday, January 28th @ 12:30pm
- Room 241 should be open to studying students on the morning of the 28th (bring your teacher a black coffee as a token of your appreciation ... well, maybe not all of you.)

Test Date Changes

Due to last-minute school schedule changes, my MHF 4U and MFM 2P classes will have a test on Friday morning.  The MPM 1D test will be held on Thursday, as planned.  My apologies for the inconvenience.

Snow Day II

In a rare move, the school is CLOSED today.  I guess I should push my tests back another day - we will write on Thursday instead.  Happy studying!  Feel free to post questions online as I will be checking in throughout the day.
