We will explore the transformations of the basic sine function today. 

1. To start, open up this Geometer's Sketchpad file.  Click on the "periodic motion" icon.  Click on "walk the wheel" to observe how the sine curve is generated.  Remember "Freddy the Frog"?
2. Go back to the main menu and select "transformations of sine".  Determine what happens for the different values of a, d, c and k.  Look back at your investigation of transforming quadratics for some ideas.
3. Record what happens when you modify each parameter (a, d, c, and k).  Which features of the sine graph change?
4. Go back to the main menu and select "the practice game".  After getting a few correct in a row, move on to the "next challenge".
